Storms yesterday evening brought a deluge to Tuscaloosa, resulting in flooding issues throughout the city.

Areas in Tuscaloosa received between two and five inches of rainfall during yesterday's storms, and flooding issues were reported on McFarland Boulevard.

Eastern Tuscaloosa saw heavy rainfall as well, and flooding also impacted the Woodland Hills neighborhood, where a dam failed at Patton Lake.

Flooding was so significant last night that Mayor Maddox activated the City of Tuscaloosa's incident command center to deal with the deluge. As of this morning, most of the flooding issues have subsided; however, today's forecast calls for additional showers and thunderstorms.
