Four-Star Northridge Tackle Set to Commit Monday
On Wednesday, one of West Alabama's biggest high school recruits of 2022, Northridge offensive tackle Wilkin Formby, announced via his social media that he'll make his final commitment decision at a ceremony at the high school on Monday, June 20 at 7 p.m. CST.
The 6-foot-7, 295-pounder is a four-star recruit and the No. 10 high school player in the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports composite rankings. He's listed nationally as the teth-best tackle and the No. 83 overall recruit for the 2022 class.
He has a laundry list of notable interested schools, including an offer from the University of Alabama just minutes from where he grew up. His list of landing spots was trimmed in April as he named Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee in his "Top 5" posted to Twitter.
Current 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have Formby as a "100%" lock to sign on with Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss; however, other recruiting sites like Rivals still say Tennessee and Josh Heupel have a chance at landing the Tuscaloosa product.
According to Formby's own social media, his last recruiting visit came less than a week ago as he visited Alabama for the third time in 2022 alone.
The signing ceremony, which is open to the public, will take place at the Northridge High School gymnasium on Monday evening.
