Two Tuscaloosa County Schools are currently on lockdown following a reported threat. Echols Middle School, located at 2701 Echols Avenue in Northport, has been placed on lockdown following a threat reported by the school system to law enforcement.

Lloyd Wood Education Center, located at 2300 26th Avenue in Northport, has also been placed on lockdown. Although no threat was made to LWEC, the education center was placed on lockdown due to its close proximity to Echols Middle School.

No one is currently allowed to leave or enter the school until the lockdown is lifted.
