Drought Conditions For Alabama & Friday September 27, 2019 Weather Update

The new drought monitors for Alabama were released yesterday.  About 35 to 40 percent of the state is in now under drought conditions with other percent being abnormally dry.  Also, now through next week there is not much hope for any substantial rain.

As crazy as it sounds, it is the Fall season, and today the high will be near 99 degrees.  Also, for today you expect mostly sunny skies with a calm wind in the afternoon.  Tonight, the calm winds continue with a low near 73 and mostly clear skies.

We are headed into another hot weekend.  Saturday and Sunday’s high could be near 97 with lows near 73.  And next week there is not much change in store for West Alabama.  We are still going to have above-average temperatures.

There should be mostly sunny skies for the Alabama Home Game.  The 2:30 pm kick-off time should experience temperatures around the mid 90’s with a minimal chance for an isolated shower.
