The Calendar Says Fall, But It Still Feels Like Summer - West Alabama Weather Update For Thursday, September 26th
The calendar says Fall, but it still feels like summer. We are still experiencing 10-12 degrees above average temperatures. Today, there will be mostly sunny skies with a high near 97. Tonight, the low will be close to 72 with mostly clear skies. All-day and into the evening you will feel calm northwest winds.
Tropics Update: Yesterday, there was much discussion about Karen and where she was headed. This morning’s update guides us that Karen has become disorganized and is now barely a tropical storm. At this point, we don’t believe Karen will strengthen and could possibly dissipate over the next few days.
Weekend Outlook: more of the same, sunny skies, hot temperatures, and a minimal possibility for an isolated shower.
To give a perspective of the variance of weather situations for the United States, there could be below-average temperatures for the northern Rockies. Some parts of the lower elevations of Montana, Wyoming, and western Dakota could experience their first snowfall this weekend.
Have a great Thursday - @MaryKRadio
