DCH Health System is currently providing 100 people with inpatient care for the novel Coronavirus, the highest number the healthcare provider has seen since the beginning of the pandemic.

The latest update from DCH, released yesterday afternoon, also shows 28 COVID-19 patients are currently being treated in the intensive care unit. 10 COVID-19 patients are currently on ventilators, and DCH is also treating an additional 17 patients who are listed as "under investigation" for the novel Coronavirus.

To date, 96 patients at DCH who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. The Alabama Department of Public Health has confirmed 57 deaths as a result of the novel Coronavirus within Tuscaloosa County.

The ADPH confirmed 2,283 additional cases of the novel Coronavirus within the state yesterday, the largest number confirmed in a single day since the agency began reporting cases in March.
