Common Sense Needed

Will someone please explain to me how much sense does it make to tear down perfectly good schools to build new schools? I don't call myself smart but I just see the logic in this but it is my understanding that is being talked about.

Also why does it takes some firm from out of town to come with a survey to tell us what we need? Another thing we are suppose to have neighborhood schools then why bus school children ten miles or more to schools out of their neighborhood? What kind of planning is this and are we really concern about the children? THINK ABOUT IT.
