The City of Tuscaloosa has issued a warning concerning drinking water.

According to a notice distributed from the Ed Love Water Treatment Plant, the Tuscaloosa Water and Sewer Department is required to monitor drinking water for certain contaminants. However, the chlorites weren't monitored on September 15, 2014. Therefore the quality of the drinking water during that time cannot be verified.

However, in a call to the treatment plant, information was revealed that a small discrepancy led to the notification of non-compliance. The chlorites level was accurately monitored on September 14 and 16, and it was fine. Therefore, the water on September 15 was likely ok. But the plant was still bound to issue a notification within a year.
In other words, the water is fine. Drink up!
