Part of being a responsible voter is making an informed decision. We've gotten plenty of information on presidential candidates, but many of us have no idea about the amendments on our ballots until we're at the polls.

This year, there are 14 proposed amendments on Alabama ballots. AL.com has a complete run down of each. In addition, Rep. Christopher England recently took to his Facebook page to explain each of them. He also included which way he is voting and why.

Be sure to read each and vote according to your understanding IF it is a state concern and pertains to your county. If it states "for _____ County" and you don't live/vote there, don't vote on it.

At this time of year, every morning I wake up and look out my window, I am reminded of why my INFORMED vote is important.

Yes, rows and rows of cotton.

Let's head to those polls.
