Born and reared on Monroeville, AL (also the hometown of “To Kill A Mockingbird” author, Harper Lee), Sherry Nwosu realized at a young age that she was blessed with a great voice and a hunger to serve God. Starting at 6 years old, her mom would take her to various churches where Sherry would sing and learn from various choirs and praise team members. During her collegiate years, Sherry attended Troy University, in Troy, AL, where she obtained her bachelor’s & master’s degrees, and served as the president of the Pentecostal Campus Ministry.

In 2007, Sherry moved to Atlanta, GA, joined the Voices of Faith Ministries praise team (Bishop Gary Hawkins, Sr., pastor) and has had the privilege of singing behind Gospel music industry luminaries including Jekalyn Carr, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and Don Moen. In August 2020, Sherry released her debut single, “Everyday”, earning her an IGAA nomination for "New Artist of the Year” and, in January 2022, Sherry released her follow-up single, “Praise Him”.
Now, in September 2022, Sherry released her 3rd single, “I Surrender”, and is excited about what listeners will gain from embracing it. “‘I Surrender’ is a song of absolute and total submission to God. I would love listeners to receive a sense of peace and renewal knowing that they can surrender all life’s cares and burdens to our Father and be made whole.” - Sherry Nwosu
