What’s wrong with this picture? In 1999 Ralph Howard was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree after he allegedly shot a man in the thigh, the case was dismissed after the complainant didn’t show up for court.

Six years later he was elected to the Alabama House in a special election. In 2013 he was charged with DUI, he reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .24.

The next year he was for driving with an expired tag, without insurance and driving while his license was revoked. Somehow those charges were dismissed.

Well Sunday Alabama state Rep. Ralph Howard was arrested for allegedly using a shotgun to shoot out the tires of his wife’s car.  He is charged with reckless endangerment, harassment, and domestic violence.

Howard’s district, House District 72, covers Sumter County, Greene County, Bibb County, Hale County, Marengo County, and Perry County.  It will be interesting to see if he is elected again.
