Alabama Schools Delay January Opening Due To Snow
The new year kicked off with a significant weather event in Alabama. Due to recent snowfall, many Alabama school systems are delaying their January 3rd opening.
Tuscaloosa County School System has officially delayed its January 2022 start due to the impact of winter weather. A post on their Facebook page announced the delay for faculty and staff since students aren't to report back until January 5th.
"Due to forecasted winter weather travel impacts in our area, all TCSS schools and offices will have a delayed start time of 10 am for Monday, January 3, 2022. All faculty and staff should report to work at 10 am."
Albertville City Schools as well as Limestone County Schools have also delayed their January 3rd start due to the impacts of snow.
We will continue to update the list as other school systems announce their January 3rd changes.
