Good Friday has a real meaning for Anthony Ray Hinton.  Anthony spent almost thirty years on death row, on this Good Friday Anthony walked out of prison a free man.

After new testing couldn’t match crime scene bullets to a gun found in Hinton’s house prosecutors told a judge they won’t retry Anthony Ray Hinton for the slaying of two fast food managers.

Anthony Ray Hinton was convicted and sentenced to death for the shooting death of John Davidson, and assistant manager at a Southside Mrs. Winner’s February 25, 1985 and the July 2, 1985 death of 25-year-old Thomas Vason an assistant manager at a Captain D’s in Woodlawn.  Read more here.
