A Suggestion to the Struggler
I am sure that you have heard the old expression, "Don't bite off more than you can chew." It is prudent not to take on more responsibilities than you can effectively handle. At some point, however, you will probably feel rather overwhelmed by the magnitude and difficulty of a particular task you have taken on.
This same thing can happen in your walk of faith in Christ when your commitment to God appears too much to bear. The Lord has an encouraging word for you when your confidence wavers.
Over there in Hebrews you can read of the courage that was demonstrated during the early days of faith (Hebrews 10:32-33). Despite public insults and persecution, the word tells that believers were aided in prison, and there was joy when their property was confiscated. With that said, it is also stated in the scriptures, "Therefore, do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise."
Your confidence should not be in yourself but in Jesus and His promise to be there at just the right time.
