We've known for some time that Alabama, Maryland, Iowa State, and Arizona State would be playing in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic early in the 2014 season, but the tournament has released the matchups and times for event

Alabama, coming off a 13-19 season, will open in the second game of a doubleheader against Iowa State in a nationally televised broadcast on ESPN2. That game will begin 20 minutes after Arizona State and Maryland finish in the first game from Kansas City, which starts at 7:00 PM ET.

The winners of each game will meet up the following night for the CBE Classic championship, which will follow a consolation game. All four games of the championship rounds will air on the ESPN family of networks.

The Crimson Tide will be replacing point guard Trevor Releford and will have to find a replacement quickly because the Cyclones will likely be one of the favorites to win the Big XII this season. Iowa State forward Georges Niang returns to a team that lost to eventual-champion UConn in the Sweet 16 earlier this year, and ESPN thinks they will be a heavy favorite to win the CBE Classic in November.

The full non-conference schedule for Alabama should be released sometime in the next week.
