Many never would have predicted this day. Heck, most SEC fans said he'd never make it past three years.

But here we are on January 4, 2017 and Nick Saban is still the head coach of the Alabama football team, 10 years after he was first introduced to the media by athletic director Mal Moore. The former LSU coach was already highly-regarded in college football, but no one could anticipate the dynasty that was about to emerge in Tuscaloosa.

As we look back on his first press conference in 2007, the Crimson Tide is putting in preparations for its second consecutive College Football Playoff championship game. If Alabama wins the game as a touchdown favorite over Clemson, it would be the fifth national championship in eight seasons for Saban.

We'll have to wait for the dust to completely settle before we can truly appreciate all he will accomplish at Alabama, but there arguably hasn't been a better 10-year tenure in college football history and Saban still has time to add to his legacy.
