Tuscaloosa City Schools Bookkeeper Resigns Following Theft Allegations

The Tuscaloosa City School System's bookkeeper resigned yesterday following allegations of theft of over $53,000. 

WVUA reports Melody Cook is under investigation for theft spanning several years. The Tuscaloosa City School System held a special meeting yesterday to accept Cook's resignation. Cook has not been charged, as the investigation is ongoing.
