‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′: Spidey and Electro Face Off on EW’s Comic-Con Cover
After some intense production in the Big Apple, complete with Paul Giamatti's Rhino going berserk on the general public, 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' is ready to hit San Diego for Comic-Con 2013. But first, our hero, Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man, and our primary villain, Jamie Foxx's Electro, face off in the latest issue of EW.
Though we've already seen tons of set pics of Foxx in his blue-skinned Electro makeup, and his pre-villain side, Max Dillon, here's he is in a full-on battle suit with a close-up of the makeup job. As opposed to other iterations of the electricity-wielding character, the version depicted in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' looks more akin with the 'Ultimate Spider-Man' comic book arc -- note the streaks of electricity coursing through his body.
Also revealed from the issue is a new still of Dane DeHaan's Harry Osborn, son of Chris Cooper's Norman Osborn (whom Spidey fans know is destined to become the infamous Green Goblin). Tons of rumors and spoilers have been circling regarding both Harry and Norman's overarching relationship to the film and the upcoming sequels, but perhaps we'll learn more in San Diego.
We'll be on hand at Comic-Con 2013 next week to relay all the juicy bits that are sure to spew out from Sony's upcoming panel. Stars Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan will be Q&A-ing it up for the film's portion, so stay tuned for the latest updates -- and perhaps more on those 'Amazing Spider-Man 3' and 'Amazing Spider-Man 4' flicks.
'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' is set for release May 2, 2014. Check out the full EW cover and movie still below. [UPDATE: An additional image from the film has been released, and we've included it below.]
