The CEO of a large betting center in Greene County says a pitch to bring greyhound racing back to Alabama is unrealistic, and people should not hold their breath waiting for it to happen.

An investment group is looking to bring live greyhound dog racing and the jobs, visitors and revenue that come with it back to Greene County, Alabama as soon as next year.

Greenetrack CEO Luther Winn said Tuesday that his long-running Greene County bingo hall will close its doors permanently.
