The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide, led by seven-time national championship-winning coach Nick Saban, took to the practice field Monday to prepare for their season opener in Atlanta against No. 14 Miami.

The Alabama football program has led the college football world in standard of play for the last 14 seasons. The Crimson Tide has even embraced the vaccine along with the rest of the SEC, Alabama's football program was 90% vaccinated as of SEC Media Days 2021 and is closer to 100% vaccinated as the season approaches. Should the Tide lead the state and the SEC by requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test to get into the games?

With news of Texas and Mississippi lifting Covid-19 restrictions, hope is on the horizon. Alabama governor, Kay Ivey, announced she is lifting the state’s Covid-19 restrictions April 9th and does not intend on extending it beyond that date.

Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne commented on the story insinuating that the athletic department is planning on returning to a full capacity Bryant-Denny Stadium for the 2021 season. This past year the stadium was reduced to 20% capacity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Alabama athletic department just completed renovations to the home of Crimson Tide Football, Bryant-Denny Stadium. The project lasted the entire offseason and battled work stoppages due to COVID-19 but it finished just in time for the new football season.

Today in an email to Tide Pride members, Greg Byrne announced the University of Alabama's plans concerning spectators in Bryant-Denny and the activities around campus. Alabama is planing on approximately 20 percent capacity at games and has decided there will be no on-campus tailgating at Alabama this season.

The Bryant-Denny construction site was quite over the weekend as work was suspended due to some employees testing positive for COVID-19 coronavirus. The project has been allowed to continue throughout the pandemic as Kay Ivey declared construction as essential. Caddell Construction Company did not disclose how many employees tested positive for the coronavirus but the company did confirm the project was back underway.

The COVID-19 coronavirus has shut down many industries throughout the nation; one industry that has been allowed to continue is construction. Alabama Athletic Director Greg Bryne revealed to Eli Gold on the Alabama Athletic Spring Update Show that the governor allowed construction to continue at Bryant Denny Stadium. Today he turned to Twitter to give the Alabama fan base a tour of the progress at the stadium.
