Monday Evening Update Of Our Flood Warning, Flash Flood Watch, & Road Closures
Here is your evening update for everything going on weather-wise concerning the heaving rain that has occurred in our area, and that is still headed our way.
For road closures, please be sure to check the Tuscaloosa County Public Works Website with an interactive map. We strongly encourage you to obey all barricades and do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.
According to the National Weather Service - A Flood Warning is in effect now until Tuesday, February 11th, at 12:15 am. This Flood Warning affects the following counties in west-central Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Greene, and Northwestern Sumter. This Flood Warning is also for central Alabama counties such as Central Bibb, Jefferson and Shelby.
A Flash Flood Watch in effect now until Tuesday, February 11th at 6 pm. It affects the following counties: Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Randolph, Sumter, Shelby, St. Clair, Tuscaloosa, Talladega, Walker, and Winston.
