Historic Fall Heat Wave Continues

Yesterday, more temperature records were broken in the state of Alabama.  By far, Tuscaloosa was the hottest Alabama city yesterday with a recorded temperature at 101.  Today, you can expect much of the same.  We are looking at a very hot day with a high near 99.  There is the possibility of a late afternoon isolated shower and thunderstorm.  Tonight, there is a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms until the early evening along with low close to 71.

Everyone is ready for the weekend and temperatures should be in the mid to upper 90’s for Saturday and in the low 90’s and high 80’s for Sunday.  There is a small chance for showers and a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon for Saturday.  However, I believe this rain chance will be for more of the counties in the north and east.  Sunday the rain chances go up to 40%.

I know what everyone is waiting for  … the … “COOL DOWN.”  Next week it will be much cooler.  When Monday rolls around, there will be rain and temperatures in the 70’s.  Then dry weather is expected to start on Tuesday with sunshine and cooler days and nights.

Have an awesome Thursday - @MaryKRadio – Weather forecaster
