After a slow start for both teams, the Hillcrest Patriots (8-1, 5-1) kicked it into gear offensively in the second half against the Bessemer City Purple Tigers (1-7, 1-4) beating them 33-8.

It was an absolute barn-burner at McAdory High School Friday night, as the Hillcrest Patriots (6-1, 3-1) edged the McAdory Yellowjackets (4-4, 3-1) by a score of 45-41.

It was a tale of two halves at Falcon Field Friday night, as the Central Falcons (2-3, 1-2) hosted their crosstown rival, the Paul W. Bryant Stampede (2-4, 2-2).
Northridge Rushes Past Brookwood, 45-16
The Northridge Jaguars (5-0, 3-0) took care of business Friday night against the Brookwood Panthers (0-5, 0-3) with the help of their potent running attack.
The Jaguars had four different ball carriers with touchdowns on their way to the 45-16 rout, including junior Lieric Street who contributed 130 yards and a touchdown.
