AU ALERT: Due to continued student and parent anxiety over the reported threat to campus, Auburn University will cancel classes and suspend normal university operations for the day on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Authorities do not have any additional information and do not believe the threat is credible at this time. Classes and normal operations will resume at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 17.

The alert is a response to a threat written in campus bathroom: "To whom it may concern. April 16th, 2014, I will unleash a rampage of biblical proportion across this tiny campus. You have been warned." The Auburn Plainsman tweeted a photo of the threat that caused the cancellation.
