Alabama State University’s Board of Trustees has a new president!

According to WSFA, Sen. Quinton Ross will be the university’s 15th president if his background check is clean and he and trustees agree upon the terms of a contract. Ross, who has the support of Gov. Kay Ivey, will have to resign as senator before accepting his new position.

ASU had been without a president since the dismissal of Gwendolyn Boyd last year. Ross is said to be a graduate of ASU.
