31 Drivers License Locations in Alabama Shutting Down
Alabama Law Enforcement Association is planning to close down 31 part-time non-state owned drivers license locations due to budget cuts.
The closures are due to an $11 million cut in the General Fund Budget appropriation to ALEA.
The Driver License Examiners employed in these offices will be reallocated to staff District Driver License Offices full-time.
Alabama issues 1.2 million licenses on average each year. The 33 offices listed below issue less than six percent of all Alabama Driver Licenses.
