Investigators have arrested a second man in connection to a series of vehicle break-ins at the Mercedes Plant in Vance, a 25-year-old out on bond for a spate of similar crimes in 2020.

The Mounted Unit, is a group of 13 civilian volunteers that train their personal horses to aid the sheriff’s department in search and rescue missions.

A former correctional officer with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office has been arrested on several charges including criminal solicitation to commit second-degree rape, second-degree sexual abuse, and electronic solicitation of a child.
