Former Alabama defensive lineman Christian Barmore has been a highly underrated defensive lineman in the NFL. He's now signed a major contract extension.

In their midday news conference Thursday, several Alabama football players announced their departure from the program and their next steps towards the NFL Draft. Among them is red-shirt junior quarterback Mac Jones.

Barmore, a redshirt sophomore, earned Defensive MVP of the 2020 CFP National Championship Game with five tackles, two tackles for a loss and a sack against Ohio State, including a tackle for loss on a crucial fourth down to seal the game for the Crimson Tide.
