An Alabama woman was killed Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident in Walker County, State Troopers have announced.

Senior Trooper Cody Farrar with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said 41-year-old Autum A. Hargett was driving a 2007 Toyota Sienna on Interstate 22 outside Jasper when she left the roadway.

Her van struck an embankment and overturned, Farrar said, and Hargett was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected.

Hargett, who lived in Nauvoo, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Farrar said the crash happened on Interstate 22 near mile marker 56 about a mile west of Jasper in Walker County.

No other details were available on Thursday afternoon.
