Tuscaloosa Police Identify Greensboro Woman Killed in Monday Wreck
Police in Tuscaloosa have identified the West Alabama woman who died in a single-car accident early Monday morning.
As the Thread reported yesterday, police in Tuscaloosa were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident off Hargrove Road around 8 a.m. Monday.
A woman driving a 2006 Ford Explorer left Hargrove Road and struck a tree outside a residence on 45th Street East, a police spokeswoman said.
Someone within earshot of the wreck called Tuscaloosa Police immediately and paramedics arrived on the scene within minutes, but the woman did not survive her injuries.
On Tuesday morning, TPD identified the victim as 42-year-old Tiffany Sheree Jones, who lived in Greensboro, Alabama.
TPD's Traffic Homicide Unit is conducting the follow-up investigation, as they do after any fatal wreck within city limits.
