Tuscaloosa Police Investigating Man’s ‘Suspicious’ Death at AA Building
Tuscaloosa Police are investigating after a man was found dead at the city's Alconon Club building Tuesday morning.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media that the VCU and TPD are at the building off Jack Warner Parkway investigating a death.
Although frequently referred to as the Alcoholics Anonymous building or AA club, a tradition of AA is that their chapters do not own property - AA meets in the building but does not own it.
Sellers said a man is deceased and called the death "suspicious."
No further information was available immediately on Tuesday morning.
Police have investigated 11 homicides in Tuscaloosa County so far this year.
