Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Tuesday Shooting in Tuscaloosa
One person is hospitalized and another jailed after a Tuesday afternoon shooting in Tuscaloosa, police reported Wednesday.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said Tuscaloosa Police were called to a shooting on Sheffield Court in southeastern Tuscaloosa about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Kennedy said a victim had been shot during a verbal argument and was suffering from injuries he described as not life-threatening.
They were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment, and the VCU detained a suspect on the scene they believe is responsible for the shooting.
After interviewing witnesses, Kennedy said investigators had probable cause to arrest Henry Eford, 63, and charge him with Attempted Murder.
The suspect was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with no bond.
This is a separate incident from the Labor Day shooting in Alberta that left another man injured.
