Tuscaloosa Location of Pyro's Fresh Fire Pizza Permanently Closed

A Tuscaloosa restaurant known for serving customised personal pizzas has closed its doors.

Pyro's Fire Fresh Pizza, located in the Shoppes at Legacy Park off of McFarland Boulevard, opened in 2016. The pizzeria has since closed, and the Tuscaloosa location's Facebook page has been deleted.

The Tuscaloosa location has also been removed from the Pyro's website.

Pyro's is the latest restaurant to depart the Shoppes at Legacy Park; Chuy's departed in 2019, and Nothing But Noodles closed in 2021. Juice Bar shut its doors in 2023, and BurgerFi closed in 2024.

There are, however, signs of life for restaurants in the Shoppes at Legacy Park; Asia Buffet recently opened in the Chuy's outparcel, and Crumbl Cookies will soon open its new Tuscaloosa location next to the now-former Pyros.

No announcement has been made about a restaurant replacing Pyro's.
