Corporal Reginal M. King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said 44-year-old Nickolas Griffin was driving a 1999 Honda CRV about 10 miles North of Northport when the vehicle left the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Griffin was not wearing a seatbelt, King said, and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, which Troopers said was near Mile Marker 165 on Highway 69 in Tuscaloosa County.

No other information was available Friday afternoon.
