Diners Flocking to Northport’s Now-Open Lost Pizza Co.
Diners are showing up in droves to support a new pizzeria that opened this week about a year after a local favorite, Mr. Bill's Southern Diner, permanently closed in the same space.
Mr. Bills closed last July, and two months later, former Northport politician Jeff Hogg announced that Mississippi's Lost Pizza Co. would be taking over the space.
The growing brand boasts 30 locations in six Southern states, and Northport marks their fifth diner to open here in Alabama.

After months of renovating and redecorating, Lost Pizza Co. opened this week in their new home at 2715 McFarland Boulevard.
The staff there has transformed the Mr. Bill's space into an unrecognizably groovy diner, lit by neon tubes, a canopy of colorful string lights and huge, warm-light Edison bulbs.
The old restaurant's sign is even prominently displayed on the wall in Lost Pizza Co.
The menu is as big as the space where it's served and features a selection of, hand-crafted-from-scratch pizzas in three sizes for dine-in or takeout.
Customers can craft their own pizzas if they want, or pick from a dozen signature choice's like a not-your-father's-meat-lovers dubbed the Otis, which comes topped with bacon, hickory ham, pepperoni, Italian sausage, pork sausage, ground beef & grilled chicken breast.

It's more than just pies, too - Lost Pizza Co, also offers a suite of appetizers including their signature MS Delta Hot Tamales, buffalo wings, pastas, sandwiches, salads, desserts and more.
Service was fast Thursday despite obviously high demand as folks came from all over the area to try out Northport's newest restaurant and an energetic staff made sure the service was as good as the food. Beer and wine are also coming soon.
Northport's Lost Pizza Co. is open now at 2715 McFarland Boulevard and serves lunch and dinner, dine-in and takeout from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. every day of the week.
