The Tuscaloosa Police Department and the Violent Crimes Unit are on the scene of a shooting in the West End on Tuesday morning, where a male who was shot is in stable condition.

Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the VCU, said they were called to a scene in the 3300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in west Tuscaloosa.

One male was found suffering from a gunshot wound, and Sellers described his condition as stable.

There was no other information available just after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

UPDATE: Sellers said the VCU has a potential suspect in custody and is interviewing witnesses.
