A major employment event in Tuscaloosa later this month will see almost two dozen companies interview employees and make new hires.

West AlabamaWorks, an organization dedicated to developing and supporting the region's workforce, will bring the employers together for the hiring event set for Tuesday, June 24th.

The fair is planned to run from 9 a.m. until noon at the New Heights Community Resource Center on 21st Street in Tuscaloosa.

Employers looking to hire workers will include the DCH Health System, Peco Foods, the Alabama Department of Mental Health, Schnellecke Logistics and more.

“Community hiring events are essential to connecting job seekers with local employers,” said Executive Director of West AlabamaWorks Donny Jones. “We want to encourage those looking to get back into the workforce or looking for a new career to come and participate in this great event.”
