You Can Help West Alabama Women in Need of Feminine Hygiene Items
The Junior League of Tuscaloosa (JLT) is teaming up with Temporary Emergency Services to help women in need through its Find the Good Day initiative.
“Period Pantry” is a donation drive that aims to collect $2,500 worth of feminine hygiene products. You can help in various ways.
“A gift of $10 can supply one woman or girl with what she needs for a month,” said Crissy Harris, Vice President of Community for JLT. “Meeting our goal would support roughly 250 women.”
According to the press release, you can “purchase products from a gift registry set up to send directly to TES, scan the QR code to donate money that will be used to purchase products, drop off products at one of the many drop-off bins at partner organizations or even host your own drive for your organization.”
Dr. Karen Thompson-Jackson, Executive Director for TES, said, “With the rising costs of personal care products, we want to ensure all women have access to these necessities without the burden of cost.
