West Alabama Weather Outlook: Any Relief From the Heat This Week?
Check out this week's latest West Alabama weather outlook to see if there is any relief from the heat in the forecast.
Hurricane Beryl Update
Hurricane Beryl, a Category 1 storm with winds up to 80 mph, landed this morning between Galveston and Corpus Christi. It is likely to weaken and become a tropical depression.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said, “The heaviest rain associated with Beryl will remain west of Alabama.”
Week Highlights
Today: Another “hot and humid with a few random, scattered showers and thunderstorms across Alabama this afternoon and early tonight,” said Spann.

Tuesday: Spann said, “Coverage of showers and storms will be higher tomorrow as deeper tropical moisture moves into the state south of the remnant circulation of Beryl.”
Also, areas could see highs in the “88-93-degree range.”
Wednesday: Expect lower humidity levels. After continuous days of heat advisories, a break from the hot temperatures and humidity sounds nice.
Thursday & Friday: There will be a rise in temperatures, but “humidity levels will be fairly low for July,” said Spann.
Later this week, I’ll provide you with a weekend overview so you can make your plans.
