See Which Tuscaloosa Restaurant Ranked Best Out Of 8 In Alabama
So it’s a new year and what could be a better start to the year than not having to cook? I think that’s an awesome start, yet, I am biased because I don’t cook. So this is a list of the best places to eat in Alabama. Which is very beneficial to me also.

These eight restaurants are rated as “must try” in Alabama. So whether you want to try one or just plan a few weekend getaways, this list covers it all!
The Bright Star - located in Bessemer is one of the oldest family-owned establishments in Alabama. From Greek-style steak to mouth-watering seafood, this is a must to visit.
Dot’s Soul Food - located in Hillsboro is the place to fill your tummy with a country-style meal. Nothing beats some crispy fried chicken and mashed potatoes! This is one of my favorite meals and a place I am going to visit.
360 Grille - located in Florence is more of a splurge because of the gorgeous view of the Tennessee Valley. This I would consider a must-do for that fancy date night or special occasion. From scallops to steak, this is a meal your taste buds will never forget.
The Garage - located in Birmingham is the place to go when the weather warms up! What makes this a must? The delicious sandwiches!! Sitting outdoors for lunch and eating a sandwich while enjoying the metal art pieces makes this a must-see.
Rattlesnake Saloon - located in Tuscumbia, was already on my list. Besides the menu, who can resist enjoying a meal under a bluff. Yes, there’s a cave on the side of the mountain! That’s a one-of-a-kind location that has been featured in magazines, music videos, and television shows. So yes, this is a 100% must-visit for everyone!
Lulu’s - located in Gulf Shores on the beautiful gulf coast of Alabama is a weekend getaway waiting for you. Even the kiddos will enjoy Lulu’s. The food and kids’ outdoor activities will make everyone in your family a happy camper.
Kowaliga Restaurant - located in Alexander City, is not only known for its food but its gorgeous sunsets on the shores of Lake Martin. From burgers to catfish, plan your meal around the sunset view.
Now maybe I am saving the best (in my opinion) for last sooo Drum roll please....
Dreamland BBQ - located right here in Tuscaloosa. Dreamland is already well known for its barbecue. I am a frequent eater there. So yes, this is a must-add to my list. Nothing beats cheering on our Crimson Tide with a plate from Dreamland!
So which are we trying first? Do you already have a favorite? I’ll make my decision after I try them all!
