New Partnership Brings Support To Tuscaloosa’s Englewood Elementary

About Adopt-A-School
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama’s Adopt-A-School Program connects local businesses and organizations with schools in the region, providing essential support, resources, and partnerships that enhance the educational experience for students.
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama proudly announces a new partnership between the Tuscaloosa County Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (TCC SCLC) and Englewood Elementary School. This collaboration is designed to foster student and educator support through meaningful engagement and recognition initiatives.
TCC SCLC will implement various programs aimed at celebrating student achievements in academics and character, including a “Student of the Month” recognition. Additionally, the organization will provide monthly incentives for teachers, volunteer support for mentoring programs and school activities, and assistance in developing and implementing a campus improvement plan.
This partnership follows the SCLC’s recent adoption of Martin L. King, Jr. Elementary School, showcasing their dedication to making a profound impact within local schools and the surrounding community.
Englewood Elementary is also in partnership with Shelton State Community College, further enriching the educational landscape for its students.
