How Strong Was the Gordo Tornado?

The National Weather Service has ranked the Saturday afternoon tornado that struck Gordo as an EF 2.

Gordo Mayor Craig Patterson told the 953 Bear Steve & DC Morning Show that there has been an overwhelming outpouring of support for his city.

Gordo suffered structural damage with trees down and some homes completely destroyed.

Mayor Patterson said Gordo has been provided the tarps, shovels, chainsaws, and other clean up supplies needed. The city still needs manpower to help with the clean up. The mayor suggest calling the Gordo City Hall for more information.
