How Long Will the Spring Cold Snap Last in Alabama?
Alabamians have been riding a weather rollercoaster lately, and it doesn’t seem ready to slow down anytime soon. Just last week, it felt as if spring decided to skip ahead and give us an early taste of summer.

Now, the tables have turned once again. A cold snap has crept in, reminding us that winter isn’t quite ready to bow out. Sweaters and jackets are back in the spotlight.
How Long Will It Last?
“The coldest morning of this late-season cold snap will come early Wednesday, with low to mid-30s temperatures over the northern and central counties of the state,” said James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist.
Frost is expected, with some areas likely to experience freezing temperatures. A freeze watch has been issued for approximately the northern third of Alabama.
Then, starting next week, highs return to the low 80s across our West Alabama communities.
