
Heat Precautions Urged as Advisory Takes Effect for West Alabama
As the heat takes over across the southern region, there is concern about some extremely hot temperatures combined with humid conditions. This is expected to last from Sunday through Tuesday, with the possibility of additional heat alerts being issued.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a HEAT ADVISORY. This advisory takes effect Sunday, July 27, at 11 a.m. and remains in place until 9 p.m.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, as heat index values are expected to soar across West Alabama.

Pickens: 1 p.m. through 6 p.m.
