West Alabama Man Dies After Pickup Leaves Roadway

A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, has claimed the life of a Marion man.

According to a press release from ALEA Captain Jeremy J. Burkett, Rodney M. Milner, 65, was fatally injured when the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.

The press release states that Milner was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Greene County 18 near Swan Lane, approximately four miles north of Demopolis, in Greene County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
