Let me tell you a little story about lights.

While I was on Thanksgiving break and visiting my family, I witnessed my poor brother go through hell.

So the bottom line is, he’s not married to a lovely person. He might be married to the worst person in the world. I should know because at one point, I was in the running for that title.

I rode with my bro back home after Thanksgiving, and I heard him get into a vicious argument with his wife over Christmas lights.

You see, he hires someone every year to set up a huge light display in their yard.

His wife hates it.

This year, she decided to tell the crew, as they arrived to set up the lights, that this was private property, that nobody had ordered any Christmas lights, and that they needed to leave immediately.

Now, remember, my brother had already paid every dime to get this light display set up.

During the argument, I actually heard my sister-in-law say, “Christmas lights are awful, and they caused me to be under immense stress all the time, and there’s nothing good about them.”

WHAT?????

Who says that?

I actually forwarded him an article by a psychologist about how peaceful and therapeutic Christmas light displays are for humans.
