In fairness, The University of Alabama was #17 on the list. However, the data for this is not necessarily the most up-to-date and that is by design. These kinds of stats are purposefully delayed to maintain the accuracy and privacy of students.
CRITICAL TO NOTE: The University Of Alabama has implemented multiple trend-setting security measures to keep students safe. Some include a 24-hour hotline, trained security personnel, late-night transportation, and electronically operated dormitory entrances. The UA staff also introduced a "COP" program, which stands for community-oriented police. This program brings UAPD officers into residence halls to build relationships with students and maintain a strong presence after hours. Students can also sign up for UA alerts through a safety app (UA Safety app) and receive the latest safety information.
