How safe are college campuses in America? Well, more importantly, in our home state of Alabama? ROLL TIDE! Eh, sorry, our bias snuck in there for a second.

In fairness, The University of Alabama was #17 on the list. However, the data for this is not necessarily the most up-to-date and that is by design. These kinds of stats are purposefully delayed to maintain the accuracy and privacy of students.

CRITICAL TO NOTE:  The University Of Alabama has implemented multiple trend-setting security measures to keep students safe. Some include a 24-hour hotline, trained security personnel, late-night transportation, and electronically operated dormitory entrances. The UA staff also introduced a "COP" program, which stands for community-oriented police. This program brings UAPD officers into residence halls to build relationships with students and maintain a strong presence after hours. Students can also sign up for UA alerts through a safety app (UA Safety app) and receive the latest safety information.

Once you roll your trash can to the curb, it's fair game for police to search it. If you took that drink they offered and threw it away, it is also perfectly okay for them to get DNA from it.
