Alabama Reacts To Legendary Restaurants Apology After Protests
Sound off Alabama, we want to know what you think.
The husband of the Nicks in the Sticks owner admitted, to, and apologized for, his racist remarks directed toward customers after heavy protests.

He said he is ashamed of his behavior.
"I accept all the condemnation and criticism which I have evoked, all of which is justified towards me. I sincerely apologize to the African Americans who were present at the restaurant that night and specifically apologize to the young man who was having his 22nd birthday. I apologize to the employees of the restaurant and I sincerely apologize to the African American people."
We ask local residents “Do you accept the apology and will you eat at Nicks in the Sticks in the future”.
Many commenters are skeptical of the apology.

I feel like he doesn’t speak for Nicks. He’s not the owner. Think about the waiters / waitresses, the cooks, etc. If people don’t go there, they lose their jobs. The prepared statement he read didn’t really mean much though.
