Last season had its ups and downs for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The season also had its ups and downs for a young player who wants to turn the hard times into a teaching tool to help young people.

Tide OL Wilkin Formby, a true local product, chose to stay right here in Tuscaloosa instead of accepting offers from SEC schools all over the country.

Formby got the chance to start under the bright lights early last season and had a few moments he would rather have a chance to do over again.

However, he learned so much from those early valleys, and that is what has helped mold him into the player he is going into the 2025 season.

Wilkin tells us and many others that his desire is to take those lessons and reach out to youth in the same position he was in a few years back.

That's why Formby has teamed up with the Walk Foundation to host a youth football camp on Saturday, June 28th, in Tuscaloosa.

The Wilkin Formby youth football camp will be held at Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

The Walk Foundation states its mission is to provide a platform for collegiate and pro athletes to share their faith in Jesus Christ with their communities and the world.

They also seek to engage and equip Christian athletes to go and make disciples of all the nations through the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.

A mission and a vision that are personally very important to Wilkin and his family.
