Serious Wreck Shuts Down Interstate Headed To Tuscaloosa

We had a serious accident this morning, causing a massive backup on I-20/59 heading towards Tuscaloosa.

James Spann, from ABC 33/40 and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa, is reporting a fatality.

We are still verifying this information with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Several reports say the traffic is backed up to 459 past McCalla.

News Director Don Hartley reports that traffic is moving slowly in the two inside lanes but the outside lane is still blocked.
